Tremolo
plectraPatent pending

A guitar pick engineered for one job: sustained high-speed tremolo picking with low hand fatigue. Designed, prototyped and manufactured by Perkelium Records.

The problem

Tremolo picking punishes the hand

Black metal lives on tremolo picking: sixteenth notes at high tempo, for minutes at a time, for an entire set. Conventional picks were never designed for that duty cycle.

Grip tension creeps up, the pick rotates, the wrist compensates and fatigue sets in long before the song ends. Players compensate with technique, but the tool itself was working against them.

The answer

A pick designed around the motion

Our patent-pending design rethinks the geometry of the plectrum around the tremolo stroke rather than around a generic strum.

  • Shape and grip geometry that resist rotation without a death grip.
  • Edge and tip profile tuned for a fast, consistent release across the string.
  • Materials selected for the articulation extreme metal demands.
  • Developed and tested in the studio, on real sessions, by a player who tremolo picks for a living.
